Leonard Lueders of South Haven died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at St. Cloud Hospital. He was 77. 
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor David Milz officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Fair Haven. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home website.
Leonard Ervin Lueders was born Nov. 2, 1944, in Cokato to Ervin and Marjorie (Gunderson) Lueders. He grew up near Lake Caroline in Fair Haven Township. Leonard attended school in both Annandale and Kimball, graduating in 1962. Following his graduation, Lenny honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge, he returned to the South Haven area. He was united in marriage to Pauline Espelund, and they later divorced. They were blessed with two children, Lisa and Jason. Leonard married Diane Cleveland and they were blessed with a son, David. Leonard worked for various construction companies before working as a machine operator at Frigidaire/Electrolux until his retirement. Lenny was a member of the Kimball American Legion, and a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where his faith played an important role in his daily life. Lenny enjoyed spending time on his hobby farm with his animals. He liked to read and was a history enthusiast. He had a passion for automobiles, fishing, and hunting.
Lenny was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marian Schlueter, and stepson Ryan Laney.
He is survived by his children Lisa (and Tom) Wittrock of South Haven, Jason (and Dawn) Lueders of Kimball, and David (and Steph) Lueders of South Haven; six grandchildren: Khala Kronenberg, Brady Engen, Zya and Andrew Lueders, and Eli and Beau Lueders; great-grandchild Payton Jones; stepchildren Allison (and Doug Barthel) Caird of South Haven, and John (and Meggan) Caird of Annandale; and other family members and friends.
Lenny’s grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
