Lions find joy helping others

·

The Kimball and Fair Haven Lions Club members once again arrived at Camp Friendship in Annandale with smiles and hearts to serve. More than 15 members spent the evening helping with the Tuesday night carnival and finished up the evening serving ice cream cones to more than 275 campers and staff. The Lions have been involved with Camp Friendship and Eden Wood Center for many years, volunteering their time, talent and funds. It’s also nice to see they are passing on the “joy of helping others,” as several members brought their children along to help in the events. For almost 40 years, Friend-ship Ventures has been enhancing the quality of life for people with mental and physical disabilities. More than 3,000 people participate in the organization’s camping, respite and travel programs each year.
