Watkins Police Department is warning residents about a scam that is flooding our area. Scam artists are targeting the senior population. Victims receive a call, or someone comes to their door, asking information about their healthcare coverage. He or she asks for personal information to verify the coverage. DO NOT give anyone your personal information or your bank information. Please make your friends and family aware of this scam also, says Watkins Police Chief Jason Elmore.
