Lorraine Werner of South Haven died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at Paynesville Hospital. She was 85.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at the Church of Christ in Kimball with Pastor Kevin White officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Union Covenant Cemetery in rural South Haven. Visitation will be from, 12:30-2 p.m. Monday at the church.

Lorraine Esther Werner was born Feb. 16, 1930, in French Lake Township to Clarence and Sadie (Snabb) Olson. She graduated with the class of 1948 from Annandale High School, and was Valedictorian. After school, she worked at Leef Brothers Laundry in Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Marshall Samuel Werner on April 30, 1961, in Clear Lake, Iowa. Together, they owned and operated Riverview Bait Shop in South Haven. After retiring, Lorraine worked at Bendix Elementary School in Annandale as a Grandma. She enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, crafts, cross-stitch, crocheting, travel, and playing Scrabble. Lorraine loved the time she spent with family and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Sadie Olson, and daughter Diane Taraldson.

She is survived by her husband Marshall Werner of South Haven; children Dean (and Myrna) Kaskinen of Kimball, Duane Kaskinen of Lincoln, Neb., Rollie (and Mary) Werner of Annandale, and Randy (and Kim) Werner of South Haven; sisters and brothers Lucille Anderson of Annandale, Deloris (and Floyd) Nolan of Annandale, LaVerne (and John) Pelzer of South Haven, Robert Olson of Annandale, Barbara (and Daniel) Rosten of Annandale, and Janice (and Frank) Rogers of Cokato; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Urn bearers will be Jeremy Kaskinen, Jake Werner, Tom Hedlund, and Mitch Werner. Arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
