Michael Lutgen, 18, of Watkins and John Brugger, 16, of St. Cloud were involved in an accident in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 25. Lutgen was driving at 1996 Oldsmobile when he lost control of the car at the corner of Tulane Road and Lovers Lane in Melrose Township. The car went into the north ditch of Lovers Lane and hit a tree before coming to a rest. Lutgen and Brugger were transported to the Melrose Hospital where they were treated for injuries. The accident is under investigation.
