Mabel Linn, 90

Mabel Linn of Kimball died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. She was 90.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Kimball. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. The Kimball American Legion prayer service will be 3:30 p.m. Friday with the St. Anne’s Parish Prayers at 3:35 p.m. Friday, both at the funeral chapel.
Mabel Gertrude Linn was born Oct. 24, 1924, in Buffalo to Victor and Gertrude (Simon) Lacina. She was united in marriage Dec. 10, 1941, to Clayton Chester Linn in Norfolk, Va. Mabel worked as a Public Health Nurse for Stearns County and as the school nurse at Kimball Schools, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Kimball American Legion Auxiliary Post 261, was Club Leader of Modern Woodman of America, and was a Cub Scout leader for her boys. Mabel enjoyed gardening, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, celebrating family events, and praying for family and friends.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Gertrude Lacinda, husband Clayton Linn, and infant son Jerry Linn.
She is survived by her children and their spouses Joyce (and Jim) Johnson of The Villages, Fla., Garry (and Mary) Linn of Kimball, Sharon (and John) Barberg of Cokato, Mike (and Debra Botzek-Linn) of Kimball, and Anne (and Charles) Wodetzki of Valparaiso, Ind.; 11 grandchildren: Jennifer Duerksen, Michele Groinus, Jessica Carlson, Abigail Wodetzki, Dr. JeRay Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Job Barberg, Richard Linn, Jakub Barberg, Jordan Wodetzki, and C.J. Wodetzki; 16 great-grandchildren: Sarah, Rachel, Elizabeth, Lauren, Taylor, Tru, Grace, Caleb, Bethany, Katelin, Samantha, Isabele, Maebel, Micah, Hannah and Andrew; and brother William (and Gertrude) Lacina of Shakopee.
Pallbearers will be Jennifer Duerksen, Michele Groinus, Jessica Carlson, Abigail Wodetzki, Sarah Duerksen, and Lauren Johnson. St. Anne’s Choir, Joan Zongo, Lauren Johnson and Taylor Johnson will provide the music for the service. Arrangements were entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
