Marie M. Rossman of Cold Spring died on Thursday, May 22, 2003, at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. Friends called after 4 p.m. on Monday and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. The Christian Women prayed a rosary at 4:30 p.m. Monday, and parish prayers were at 7 p.m. Marie was born in Cold Spring to Math and Thersia (Keil) Hommerding. She married Edwin Rossman on Sept. 2, 1941, in St. Nicholas. Marie was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed her family, playing cards, quilting, crocheting and bowling. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, daughter Judy Ann, and brothers George and Ernest Hommerding. She is survived by her children Dianna (and John A.) Theis, Beverley (and Anthony) Kuechle, Charlette (and Neil) Duncan), Dennis (and Annella) Rossman, Steven (and Connie) Rossman, Janice (and Kenneth) Michel, Robert (and Lorri) Rossman; and her sisters and brother Alma Krueger, Elizabeth Weber and Alquin Hommerding.
