Marion Christofferson, 97

Marion Christofferson of Kimball died Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield. She was 97.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Ostmark Lutheran Church in rural Watkins. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Ostmark Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com, and on the Ostmark Lutheran Church Facebook page.

Marion Jeanette Kling was born March 28, 1926, in Forest City Township to Oscar and Alice (Olson) Kling. She was baptized on June 6, 1926, and confirmed on July 30, 1939, at Ostmark Lutheran Church. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1944, and was united in marriage to Elmer Christofferson on Dec. 29, 1945, at Ostmark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, card parties, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she loved being on the farm.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, son Donald, siblings Bernard Kling, Donald (and Bernice) Kling, and Lorraine Kling, and niece Sharon Blair.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Ostmark Lutheran Church.
