Martin Schramel of Eden Valley died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at the Annandale Care Center. He was 75. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Church of the Assumption in Eden Valley. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be at the Assumption Cemetery in Eden Valley at a later date.
Martin Joseph Schramel was born Aug. 9, 1940, in Belgrade, Minn., to Marcus and Louise (Moehrle) Schramel. He graduated from Eden Valley High School. Martin was united in marriage to Joanne Ertl June of 1964. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, birdwatching, and trying his luck at scratch offs and trips to the casino. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. During the last few years of his life he managed struggles with Parkinson’s Disease. He will be missed by his dog Buddy.
Martin was preceded in death by his wife Joanne; parents Marcus and Louise; brother Fran Schramel; brother-in-law Gene Theis; father-in-law and mother-in-law Greg and Loretta Ertl; sisters-in-law Pat Hartkopf and Linda Kerstein; and brother-in-law Kerry Kerstein.
He is survived by his children Paul Schramel of Eden Valley, Jodi Schramel of Shakopee, Pam (and Tom) Kurtz of Waconia, and Becky Schramel of Eden Valley; grandchildren Katherine, Kylie, and Ryan Kurtz; sister MaryLou Theis of Eden Valley; brother Mark (and Dawn) Schramel of Eden Valley; sisters-in-law Cyndi Bemboom of Mayhew Lake; Carol (and Jim) Lennox of Kimball, and brother-in-law Larry Hartkopf of Becker.
