Maverick blessed his parents with a single breath, the sound of his beating heart, and the flutter of his tiny movements. He was embraced with boundless affection by his parents and sister.

Though Maverick’s time with us was fleeting, his spirit will continue to live on in our hearts. We remember a life that, though short, was filled with love and promise.

Maverick was welcomed home in heaven by great-grandparents, great-aunts, and great-uncles.

He is survived by his loving parents Heather Veldkamp and Cody Mackereth of Eden Valley; sister Candice Melchert; grandparents Kevin and Rhonda Veldkamp of Paynesville, and Bruce and Michelle Mackereth of Kimball; great-grandparents Arnold and Cheryl Veldkamp of Hawick, and Roger and Alice Luebke of Kimball; and many aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.
