Maxine Billey, 78

Maxine Billey of Watkins died Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. She was 78.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Maxine was born Jan. 19, 1942, in Watkins to Norbert and Lucetta (Neu) Walters. She graduated from Eden Valley-Watkins High School in 1960. Maxine was married to Allan Billey in Minneapolis They lived in Edina and Minnetonka. Maxine retired from the Hennepin County Adult Probation office and worked as a bank teller for City County Credit Union and TCF Bank. Allan died in 1995, and Maxine moved to Watkins about four years ago. She enjoyed flower gardening, gamily get-togethers, and playing cards.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Allan, brothers Richard Walters and Donald Walters, and sisters Debbie Manuel and Marilyn “Mary” Walters.

She is survived by her siblings Doreen (and Jerome Erieau) Walters of St. Louis Park, John Walters of St. Cloud, Ken (and Glennis) Walters of Easley, S.C.; sister-in-law Judy Walters of Phoenix, Ariz.; nieces and nephews.
