May minutes summary from Kimball School Board

The Kimball School Board held their April 19 board meeting at  6 p.m.

The board accepted resignations from the band director, media assistant, an elementary teacher, two paraprofessionals, and the speech coach. A new band instructor was hired, and a volunteer softball coach was approved.

The principals reported on upcoming graduations, awards day, annual signing, staff development planning, summer conferences, staff changes, enrollment projections, field trips, summer programming, and Teacher Appreciation Week activities.

Superintendent Widvey gave a construction update, an update on the backstop project, a legislative update, and a negotiations update.

The board awarded the food service contract, accepted the revised FY23 budget, a change to the calendar, and approved a trip to Costa Rica in June 2024. The K-3 Local Literacy Plan was approved, and six extended days for the Curriculum Coordinator was also approved.
