Meeker County 4-H horse, poultry, and rabbit bowl teams compete in regional competition

4-H Project Bowl challenges teams of three to six youth to test their knowledge on a variety of topics including dairy, dog, general livestock, horse, llama/alpaca, plant science, poultry, and rabbit.  Meeker County 4-H had six teams that competed at the Sauk Rapids Regional Project Bowl contest on March 1.

Horse senior team members included:

Audrey Frenchick, Koronis Eager Beavers

Claudia Frenchick, Koronis Eager Beavers

Raya Scott, Kimball Kruisers

Frances Geurts, Kimball Kruisers

Maisy Geurts, Kimball Kruisers

They received first place in the regional contest and will compete in the state contest on April 12 in Sauk Rapids. The team is coached by Tanya Scott and Dayle Geurts.

Horse junior team members included:

Aliza VanDuinen, Independent

Willa VanDuinen, Independent

Leland Kershner, Danielson Hustlers

Bridger Kershner, Danielson Hustlers

They received first place in the regional contest and will compete in the state contest on April 12 in Sauk Rapids. The team is coached by Cassidy Becker and Emily VanDuinen.

Poultry senior team members included:

Henry Lemke, Valley Victors

Riley Joyer, Forest City Livewires

Laura Anderson, Danielson Hustlers

They received fifth place in the regional contest. The team is coached by Alison Radunz and Tracy Huhn.

Poultry junior team members included: 

Hadley Huhn, Litchfield Satellites

Morgan Sage, Danielson Hustlers

Victor Lee, Danielson Hustlers

Nora Magadenz, Valley Victors

They received sixth place in the regional contest. The team is coached by Tracy Huhn and Alison Radunz.

Rabbit senior team members included:

Brooks Dengerud, Litchfield Satellites

Alexis Blunt, Forest City Livewires

Tattrie Ficker, Forest City Livewires

They received eighth place in the regional contest. The team is coached by Laura and Jordan Niece.

Meeker/McLeod rabbit junior team members included:

Jonathan Blunt, Forest City Livewires

Aubree Mackedanz, McLeod County

Lily Mackedanz, McLeod County

They received sixth place at the regional contest. The team is coached by Laura and Jordan Niece.
