Memorial Day program The American Legion Frederick A. Metcalf Post 261 will present a program for Memorial Day 2005 at the Kimball Elementary School on Monday, May 30. The program will begin at 10 a.m. with a presentation of the colors. Post Commander Michael Olk will give the introduction, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Auxiliary and Jr. members. Invocation will be by Rev. Heather Klasson, United Methodist Church, followed by addresses by Boys’ and Girls’ State delegates Erich Deutsch and Alison Ecker. Rev. Klasson will give the benediction, followed by the folding of the flag, taps, and the traditional firing squad salute and gravesite service on the elementary school lawn. Everyone is invited to attend and to commemorate Memorial Day.
