Hank Meyer competed at the Northern Plains Regional Tournament in the Freestyle Junior Division at 215# May 10-11. He beat opponents from North Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois. He lost the championship to his opponent from Iowa. There were 2,600 competitors from 22 states at the tournament.
USA Wrestling presented the Northern Plains Regional Championship, May 9-11, 2025. This event took place at the UCR Fieldhouse, RCTC Campus, in Rochester, and is a qualifier for the 2025 U.S. Marine Corps Junior National Championships in Fargo, N.D., July 12-20 in the 16U & Junior Men’s and Women’s divisions.
Northern Plains Regional offers athletes in 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U & juniors a chance to compete against some of the best wrestlers in the country. The Northern Plains Regionals offer men and women an opportunity to compete in Freestyle and Greco-Roman styles. This event is a great preparation for both Kids Nationals and 16U/Junior National Championships.
