Micky Lang of Richmond died Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, in St. Cloud. He was 36.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Kimball United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Madison, Minn., at a later date.
Micky Curtis Elgin Lang, was born March 26, 1980, to Larry and Brenda (Bergerson) Lang in Willmar. His family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, for a few years before returning to Minnesota. They lived near Eden Valley and he attended Eden Valley-Watkins High School, graduating in 1998. Following high school, he continued his education in Mankato at a technical college. He began his working career with a successful business with Kirby and then moved on to his profession of contracting. He lived in Eagle Lake, Eveleth, and Mankato besides other various towns. On Dec. 25, 2012, he married Kiki Schomberg in Florida. Micky was a member of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts when he was younger. He also enjoyed archery and building things. As an adult, he enjoyed fishing, boating, motorcycling, laughing and enjoying life, especially with his family.
Micky was preceded in death by his mother Brenda, grandmother Birdie Lang, grandfathers Roger Theis and Ronnie Bergerson.
He is survived by children Shane Henry of Minneapolis, Austin Lang of Mankato, Shantelle Lang of St. Cloud, Zeke Lang of Austin and Zadie Lang of Austin; granddaughter Phoebe Studer; wife Kiki Schomberg of Austin; father Larry Lang of Richmond; sister Vanessa (and John) Tunnell of Oro Valley, Ariz.; nieces and nephew Kayly, Alec, Jonah and Hazel.
