Livestock housing and manure management presentations are scheduled March 18-19 for the Minnkota Agri-Builders and Equipment Association meeting in Willmar. The presenters will be specialists from the University of Minnesota Extension Service, South Dakota State University and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The meeting will be held in the Holiday Inn/Comfort Inn Convention Center in Willmar. Registration begins at noon, March 18. Topics at the afternoon session on March 18 include future trends in animal agriculture, Chinese pork production, ventilation designs for indoor and outdoor air quality, and liability issues for equipment suppliers and builders. The March 19 agenda includes an update on Minnesota’s feedlot regulations, manure economics, hoop barn research and animal welfare concerns.
