Mirabelle Philippi died Friday, April 21, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital in the arms of her loving parents. She was 8 months old.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. A private service will follow.

Mirabelle Winter Philippi was born in St. Cloud Aug. 16, 2016, to Morgan and Melissa (Winter) Philippi. She was born with a rare genetic disorder called Zellweger Syndrome. Despite her medical challenges, she was full of life and personality. Mirabelle easily connected with all whom she came in contact with. People were drawn to her courageous and feisty personality. She was a fun-loving fashionista. Those who loved her were shown to appreciate life and live every day to its fullest.

Mirabelle loved baths, swimming, wagon rides, and going hiking in the quarries. Her parents brought her on many adventures and made sure to laugh and be goofy with her every day with tummy time and early mornings by the fireplace with mom; dancing and late nights in front of the computer with dad, which will forever be remembeered.

Mirabelle was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Alvin and Janell Winter, Verlan Dickison, and Peter Philippi.

She is survived by her parents Morgan and Melissa; grandparents Jack and Margie Winter, Janelle Philippi, Ron (and Cheryl) Philippi; great-grandparents Jerome and Kathleen Nohner, Shirley Dickison, Theresa Philippi; uncles and aunts Corey (and Chelsey) Winter, Matthew (and DC) Philippi, Luke Philippi, Nick (and Brittany) Philippi, Pete (and Ashley) Philippi; cousins Carter, Collin, Cienna Winter, and Harrison Philippi.

She defied many odds in her life, we were lucky for every day we were blessed with our little angel. Morgan and Melissa would like to extend their appreciation for all those who loved and cared for Mirabelle. Your support is so very much appreciated.
