A number of motorcycle safety training classes will be offered by the Ridgewater College Center for Customized and Continuing Education in the spring, summer and fall of 2004. The Basic Rider course is designed with the beginner in mind, but is a challenge to experienced riders as well. The 16-hour course includes both classroom and on-cycle instruction with high-quality personalized coaching and several hours of practice riding. The cost of $125 includes the use of a motorcycle, and curriculum and materials provided by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. The Experienced Rider course includes both classroom instruction and advanced motorcycle-handling skills. Certified instructors draw from student knowledge and experience to coach riders to success. Students must furnish their own bikes for this course. The cost is $55. To ride safely, moped riders need the same mental strategies that a motorcyclist needs. Moped Training courses are offered based on demand. The cost is $25.
