Two “Basic Rider” courses in motorcycle safety training will be offered on the Willmar Campus of Ridgewater College in September, in collaboration with the Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center (MMSC). The basic rider course is designed with the beginner in mind, but is a challenge to experienced riders. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation supplies the curriculum and materials. The 16-hour course includes both classroom and on-cycle instruction with high-quality, personalized coaching, and several hours of practice riding. The $125 fee includes the use of a motorcycle. The first class will be offered from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 18-19, with another class from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 25-26 at the Willmar Campus.
