Weather: I hope you had a chance to enjoy the mild temperatures over the weekend. I saw many people in shorts as they were outside golfing, working in their yards, going for walks, and bike riding as temperatures hit the 60s and even the 70s over the weekend.
Unfortunately, we are now going to ?Äúpay?Äù for the nice weather recently as temperatures are going to tumble. A cold front will drop temperatures into the 30s and 40s for high temperatures for much of this week. We are also going to have to deal with not only rain, but the potential for some snow this week.
At this stage, it looks like snowfall totals will be light late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Most areas will see snowfall totals of one inch or less.
Another weak system will arrive on Friday that could generate some sprinkles or flurries early. A bit more potent system is projected to arrive Saturday night into Sunday that could bring us some rain possibly mixed with some light snow late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Hang in there as warmer weather is expected to return by next week. We should see some 50s and 60s by next week! Keep in mind that our average high for this time of the year is now in the lower 60s.
Stay warm and don?Äôt put away those winter jackets and coats just yet.
Weather history: On this date in 1954, NWS records show that ?Äúextremely heavy downpours occurred in Mora, where nearly 7 inches of rain would fall in a little over 10 hours.?Äù
