New members of the National Honor Society at Kimball Area High School were inducted Monday, Nov. 10. The students who were inducted are Diana Donnay, Erich Deutsch, Alison Ecker, Jesse Frischman, Jessica Gully, Jamie Hanson, Janelle Kuechle, Jesi Mancini, Jaclyn Messer, Jordan Miller, Kendra Nelson, Mitchell Nystrom, Lynn Powell, Stephanie Roos, Brandi Schiefelbein, Melissa Schmidt and Ryan Winkelman. All of the inductees are from the eleventh grade. Mr. Jonathan Clark, Kimball Elementary School Principal, gave an inspirational speech. Ms. Karen Imholte, Kimball Area High School Principal, gave the closing statements for the ceremony. Four National Honor Society members – Jen Schefers, Carl Stein, Nick Stein and Sarah Wysoski – spoke about the qualifications one needs in order to be nominated and accepted into the National Honor Society. These qualifications include character, leadership, scholarship and service. National Honor Society officers also participated in the ceremony. President Jill Libbesmeier led the ceremony that night. She welcomed parents, families and friends. She also introduced each speaker. As she called the new inductees forward, each received a membership card and a certificate from Michelle Condon, secretary, and Cole Loewen, treasurer. The person who made this all possible was Mr. Gary Riess, the National Honor Society advisor. National Honor Society thanked everyone for coming by serving cake and punch after the ceremony. Congratulations to all of the new KAHS members of the National Honor Society. We look forward to our next project, Toys for Tots.
