Nelson Stanley died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at his Annandale home. He was 59. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, at the Kimball Church of Christ with Pastor Jerry Albert officiating. Burial followed in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends called from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church in Kimball. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Nelson Francis Stanley was born March 23, 1945, in Hammond, Ill., to Clifford and Dansel (Galoway) Stanley. He married Traci Patterson Dec. 7, 1968, in Tuscola, Ill. He was an owner and executive vice president of Drop Ship Express in Maple Plain. Nelson was a member of the Kimball Church of Christ and served as an elder for the past several years. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing, and Civil War antiques. Nelson’s brother Lloyd Gene Stanley preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Traci of Annandale; sons Jeffrey (and Kelly) Stanley of Atwood, Ill.; Benjamin (and Jennifer) Stanley of Roanoke, Texas; Tyson (and Bridget) Stanley of Annandale; and Joshua (and Torri) Stanley of Kimball; brothers and sisters Ronald (and Frankie) Stanley of Columbia, Ill.; Edward (and Kathy) Stanley of Arcola, Ill.; Lois (and Bill) Henderson of Pierson, Ill.; Yvonne (and Mark) Corbit of Salt Lake City, Utah; Margaret Ann (and Gene) Newberry of Lovington, Ill.; Inez (and Don) Phipps of Altamont, Ill.; Tina (and Mike) Evans of Newton, Ill.; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Carmon Goff, Ed Goff, Richard Eckman, Art Bowles, Dwayne Bruns, Jack Miller and Robert Blanchard. Music for the service was provided by Janet and Richard Eckman, Joyce Albert, Shari Goff, Tracy Bruns and Lori Miller. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
