Offers a ‘personal economic stimulus package’ Saturday, Sept. 26

Joel Karsten, a Roseville, Minn.-based Certified Education Specialist trained by eBay, is offering new eBay sellers the chance to learn many basic techniques, tips and tricks for selling on eBay, the World’s Online Marketplace®, from a certified eBay expert. Karsten lists 10,000 items per year on eBay and has been an Education Specialist for four years, teaching 3,500 individuals how to sell successfully on eBay.

“The Basics of Selling on eBay” is six hours of instruction, providing new users the tools needed to become successful sellers on eBay. With more than 200 million users, eBay offers sellers 75,000 categories to market their goods. Karsten will teach “best methods” for writing item descriptions, developing selling and shipping policies, writing effective titles, taking and editing effective photos of items, and much more.

Safety and security are other important topics covered in the class, along with PayPal account set up and warranty policies that work best. While 1.3 million individuals currently make a full or part-time living selling on eBay, the eBay community continues to grow rapidly especially in today’s struggling economy.
