The Kimball Fire Department took possession of their new 2008, 3,000-gallon tanker truck just in time to show it off at the annual Fire Relief breakfast April 9. The purchase was planned and budgeted, and paid for by gambling money, not tax dollars. This year is the 100th birthday of the KFD, formed in 1917 as a bucket brigade out of city hall.
