Nice weather for Halloween

·

Weather: Temperatures will be chilly across the area for the midweek as a cold front works its way across the Upper Midwest.

Temperatures for the midweek are expected to be in the lower 40s for daytime high temps. Parts of Minnesota could even see a rain/snow mix for Wednesday into Wednesday night.

It will also be windy across the area making it feel even chillier for this time of the year. Typical high temperatures this time of the year are now in the upper 40s.

Drier weather is projected to return late in the week along with warmer temperatures just in time for the weekend.

High temperatures on Sunday could climb to near 60s across parts of the state of Minnesota.

The weather at this stage looks to be pretty decent for Halloween and for the trick-or-treaters. Temperatures should be in the 50s Saturday for daytime highs.

When the kids are out trick-or-treating it should be in the upper 40s and low- to mid-50s. Certainly, they will need a sweater or jacket underneath their costumes.

As Halloween approaches, most of us think of the Halloween Blizzard of 1991. The area went from temperatures in the mid 60s across parts of Minnesota Oct. 29, to dealing with heavy snow and blizzard conditions just a couple days later. The storm, of course, is still talked about nearly 25 years later. Halloween 2015 should be much quieter for all of us.

Have a great week and safe Halloween!
