United Way of Central Minnesota is currently accepting nominations for the 2003 Mary Faber Volunteer Award. This award is presented annually to an exemplary young person age 14-21 for outstanding community service in central Minnesota. The award recipient will be selected based on his/her leadership qualities, commitment, initiative, and the impact and quality of his/her work. The selection committee is composed of board members from Youth as Resources, a service of United Way. Youth as Resources is a decision-making board that allocates funds to youth-led, youth-initiated projects that meet community needs. Nominations may be made by anyone who knows a dedicated youth in our community.
