North Stars/Busy Bees 4-H report

The Nov. 7 meeting of the North Star/Busy Bees was called to order at 6:58 p.m. by President Rebecca Atkinson. Pledges were said. Astrid Gottschalk gave a presentation about peanuts, how they are grown, processed and sold. Roll call was taken. Secretary’s report was read and approved. Treasurer’s report was given, total balance $824.44. Old business: All who wish to attend Citizenship Washington Focus must fill out the applications and have $250 turned in by Dec. 1. Officers’ training Monday, Nov. 17, at 6:45 p.m. All officers must attend. There will be a Federation Meeting following at 7:30 p.m. New Business: Also on Nov. 17, there will be a food stand committee meeting at 6 p.m. There will be a fundraiser meeting after the Federation Meeting. If you got a Fleet Farm T-shirt from the State Fair you are asked to send them a thank you. Krispy Kreme donuts are being sold by the Interstate Exchange Kids. Adult Training in Willmar: call Renville County Extension by Nov. 13. We will hold a Santa Store on Dec. 14. Each family is asked to make a $20 donation in toys and crafts. We will be using the proceeds from the Santa Store to buy gifts for Heartland Adopt-a-Family. Our December meeting will be our Christmas party, bowling and shopping for Heartland.
