The following types of permits may be issued from March 26, 2007, until April 2, 2007 (the Little Falls Forestry Service asks that the following be observed when issuing burning permits): • Issue permits for piled material only. • Burning is allowed from 6 p.m.-8 a.m. daily. • Issue permits for three evenings. • Only vegetative materials may be burned. • Special permits (day time or running fires) to be issued by authority of fire chiefs only. • Permittees must call (320) 251-4240 prior to burning. Burning restrictions will take effect at 8 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2007. Issue no permits that will be valid after 8 a.m. April 2, 2007. After burning restrictions take effect, all requests for burning permits should be forwarded to the local fire chief.
