Notice of Treatment of Curly Leaf Pondweed (2017)

ATTN Louisa and Marie Property Owners:

The Chain Of Lakes Association has contracted to treat Curly Leaf Pondweed an Aquatic Invasive Species in Louisa and Marie Lakes in 2017.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has granted to The Chain Of Lakes Association a waiver of the requirement that the association obtain the signatures of approval of owners of lake-shore property. Instead, The Chain Of Lakes Association will notify property owners of the treatment through alternate forms. This letter is one form that The Chain Of Lakes Association is using to notify property owners. Other forms include notification on The Chain Of Lakes Association Facebook page:

With regard to the treatment for this year, 2017:

The proposed date for treatment: May 1, 2017 thru June 15, 2017;

The target species for the treatment: Curly Leaf Pondweed;

The method of control or product being used: EPA and MDA Registered Aquatic Herbicide.
