Tales of Iwo Jima, a program created by Tim Mergen, Litchfield, will be presented at the Dassel History Center, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1.
Mergen has created a presentation based on the stories that three World War II veterans, all from Litchfield, have shared with him about their service at Iwo Jima in 1945.
Don Nordlie served in the Marines, Roger Tipka in the Army and Stan Mortenson in the Navy.
Mergen shares general history of the Battle of Iwo Jima as well as some of the three men?Äôs stories.
