Each November, thousands of aspiring novelists around the world attempt to reach a daunting but attainable goal completing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. And, if you’re one of them, know this: Great River Regional Library (GRRL) is here to keep you motivated.
November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. Last year, NaNoWriMo welcomed 394,507 participants on six continents. Of these, more than 58,000 met their month-long writing goal.
GRRL branches will begin hosting NaNoWriMo informational sessions and drop in-style writing groups this week. We’re excited to offer opportunities for you to meet other writers, share your ideas and find some quiet time to write in the company of other storytellers.
Check out our events calendar to find a NaNoWriMo info session or meet-up group near you. These events are free and open to all.
