Nyholm secures prestigious appointments to three U.S. Military Service Academies

Cheyenne Nyholm of Kimball became a national treasure when she secured not one, not two, but three coveted, prestigious appointments to the United States Military Service Academies!

After a rigorous selection out of roughly 40,000 applicants, West Point, Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy each have offered Cheyenne a $420,000+ world-class education, for free!

The United States military service academies are the top-ranking Ivy League schools in the nation, with acceptance rates as low as 8%. Applicants are required to be nominated by a member of Congress or, in some selected instances, the Vice President or President.

Graduates of all service academies receive a bachelor of science degree and are commissioned as officers in their respective service branches. After graduation, depending on career field, they are obligated to serve a minimum of five years in active duty.

Cheyenne is a 2025 graduate of Litchfield High School, and she has committed to the United States Air Force.

She will report to Colorado Springs, Colo., at the end of June for in-processing day. This is the first step in her journey toward becoming a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force.

Cheyenne is the daughter of proud parents Jason and Leslie Nyholm of Kimball.
