Obey traffic laws already!

·

With a new driver in our house, I may be more aware of driving infractions than I used to be.

Every time we?Äôre out driving, it seems, someone is violating a driving law. Most common (for me) is passing on the right. Most problematic for our school buses is failure to stop for a school bus stop arm. Both are ILLEGAL and both put lives at risk.

Just follow the laws, would you please?

No one can be in such a hurry that they need to put other lives at risk. If it?Äôs that kind of an emergency, call 9-1-1. Otherwise, just follow the laws. We may all get there a little later than planned, but we?Äôll get there alive.

The crash last month just north of Kimball was a lucky warning. There have been several similar accidents with young and inexperienced drivers who are driving too fast for the conditions.

Please help our young drivers ?Äì you may have some in your house too ?Äì to learn how to drive for conditions, and to always follow the laws. The best way for us all to do this is ?Ķ can you guess? ?Ķ FOLLOW THE LAWS.

Traffic laws are not suggestions. They also are not punishment. Nothing you?Äôve done in your life exempts you from either traffic laws, or the ticket, jail time, or death that may result from breaking them.

Please, for us all, follow the traffic laws. We don?Äôt want to have to publish a story like those below but with your name in it.
