Old Settlers activities planned for June 28

From parade to picnic, Fair Haven Old Settlers Day promises tradition as well as new surprises The Fair Haven Old Settlers Picnic Committee invites you to join us Saturday, June 28 for the 77th annual Old Settlers Picnic. This is a great time for your family to come out and enjoy a day of fun while visiting with friends young and old. 10 a.m. o Anyone wanting to participate in the parade should come to the Concordia Lutheran Church for parade line-up at 9 a.m. There is no registration fee for the parade. 11 a.m. o Children’s tractor pull for ages 4-12. There is no registration fee. o Fair Haven Lions Beef Dinner. o Concession stands, games, food, etc. o If you are a non-profit organization that would like to earn some extra money, set up a concession stand in the park. Please contact Vanessa Schlueter at (320) 236-2457, or Lynda Mertens at (320) 236-7672 to reserve a space. There is a $10 charge. o We’re having a Car Show for the first time this year. Contact Vanessa Schlueter at (320) 236-2457 for more information. 12 noon o “Orange you glad to be here” program will award the oldest couple, oldest woman and man, newest baby, just married, most grandchildren and longest distance traveled. 1:30 p.m. o Money in the hay game. 2 p.m. o Ice cream cones for five cents. o Horseshoe pits, bring your own horseshoes. o Play ground for children. o Prize drawing for Old Settlers buttons. 3 p.m. Car Show awards presentation. 6:55 p.m. The grand prize drawings will be held. 7 p.m. o Queen coronation with emcee Harlan Graphenteen. 8 p.m.-12 midnight o Dance with music by “Wild Wood.”   We hope to see everyone in Fair Haven on the last Saturday in June.  Fair Haven Old Settlers   Picnic Committee
