Students who have completed grades 1-6 are invited to attend the Wright County Historical Society’s country school program at the historic Welker one-room schoolhouse located on the Wright County Fairgrounds. The school program is scheduled to take place during the Wright County Fair from 9 a.m.-12 noon on Thursday, July 31 or Friday, August 1. Children participate in a one-room school taught by a teacher. They learn what it was like to attend a school with five other grades in the same classroom.
