Minnesota escaped much of the snow on Monday into early Tuesday. Parts of North Dakota and South Dakota had snow earlier this week as a winter storm pushed across that part of the Upper Midwest.
In addition to the snow, high wind warnings were also posted for that area as wind gusts to 50 to 55 mph were reported. We saw some wind gusts to 35 mph across Greater Minnesota on Monday night into Tuesday.
On the backside of that system, what we will get here locally is bitterly cold air for a couple of days. Temperatures will once again be well below zero. Highs by Friday should get back into positive territory.
By Saturday, we should return to the 30s for highs – above zero. We won’t see much in the way of moisture through this weekend.

It will be bitterly cold once again for the midweek. Overnight low temperatures -Wednesday night into Thursday morning down -20 to -25 for much of the region. It will remain cold for Thursday into Friday morning. Warmer temperatures will start to return for Friday. Little moisture is expected through this weekend.
