PACER workshop helps parents with special education process

PACER Center, Inc. presents “Understanding the Special Education Process,” a free program for parents of children with disabilities. It is scheduled for 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, in the St. Cloud State University Atwood Memorial Center (Glacier North room), 720 4th Ave. So. in St. Cloud. The workshop helps parents understand the special education process and become effective advocates for their children. The following topics will be included. o Parent participation. o Evaluation and re-evaluation. o Resolving differences. o Records and confidentiality. o Procedural safeguards notice. o The Individualized Education Program (IEP).
