Pacesetter Youth Basketball Region 5 Playoffs
To be held in Paynesville and Eden Valley-Watkins April 2-3
The Pacesetter Youth Basketball Region Playoffs begin next week in four of the eight Minnesota regions, including Rochester, Redwood Falls, Grand Rapids/Hibbing, and Paynesville/Eden Valley.
?Ä¢ Saturday, April 2, Paynesville and Eden Valley-Watkins: Seventh- and ninth-grade girls, and seventh- and ninth-grade boys
?Ä¢ Sunday, April 3, Paynesville and Eden Valley-Watkins: Eighth-grade boys and girls
All teams will play 3-4 games in one day.
The region champions will be invited to play in the 8-team Minnesota Youth Basketball State Championships in St. Cloud in June. The top two teams from the state tournament advance to the Target Center in Minneapolis to play in the Pacesetter Great Four-State Championships against the top teams from Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota.
More than 1,000 teams will play in the Pacesetter Sports four-state youth basketball playoff system, which promotes school and community teams, and is sponsored by the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx.
