Pauline Erpelding of Watkins died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at her home. She was 92.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. today (Thursday, March 1) at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins with Fr. Richard Gross officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, and 8-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Watkins Senior Citizens prayed the rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Pauline Erpelding was born Aug. 14, 1914, in Cold Spring to Jacob and Mary (Kreuger) Schneider. She married Ted Erpelding Nov. 7, 1939, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. They farmed near Watkins until their retirement in 1974, when they moved to Watkins. He preceded her in death Nov. 25, 1992. Pauline was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins and active with the Council of Catholic Women and mission quilting group. She was also a member of the Watkins Senior Citizens. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, playing cards and quilting.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ted; grandson Martin Ritter; and brother Joseph Schneider.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Don (and Kathy) Erpelding of Watkins; daughters Rosemary Ritter of Cold Spring, and Lucille Angell of St. Cloud; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Louise Schutz of Litchfield; and sister-in-law Vern Schneider of Waite Park.
