Wednesday Aug. 15, Pedal Pilgrimage to the Grasshopper Chapel in Cold Spring
St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring is organizing the annual pedal pilgrimage to the Grasshopper Chapel in Cold Spring. This 23-mile bike ride combines spiritual and physical exercise. Bikers gather at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, for prayer at the base of Chapel Hill in Cold Spring.
The 2018 Pedal Pilgrimage is a 23-mile bike tour along country roads and trails stopping at Richmond, Jacobs Prairie, Rockville and back to Cold Spring. The pilgrimage concludes with a Mass at the Grasshopper Chapel in Cold Spring.

Aug. 15, 2018, is the Feast of the Assumption in the Roman Catholic Calendar. While the prayer during the pilgrimage will reflect this theme, the pilgrimage is open to people of all faith traditions.
The Registration fee of $10. Early bird registrants may order a Pedal Pilgrimage T-shirt. Pilgrims and their families are welcome to an optional pizza dinner in Cold Spring before returning home. The Assumption Chapel, also known as the Grasshopper Chapel, is located atop Chapel Hill in Cold Spring on Pilgrimage Road off Maple Hill Road, South of Hwy 23 in Cold Spring.
