I want to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes and hugs at my beautiful 80th birthday party at the Peps gym Saturday, Nov. 2.
A special “thank you” to all the speakers who said such nice things about me, the video messages on the big screen, friends, nieces and nephews who helped set up things, greet and serve, and to Gordon and Mona Neuman for all the wonderful food.
I was honored to have my rookie 1962 basketball teammates Ginny Butz (Hopkins), and Bernie Shafer (Hart, Michigan), and 1970s Gems teammate Deb Heath (Wis.), and 1980s Gems teammate Sandra Zais (Wis.), and 1970s Gems teammate Vicky Nelson in attendance.
Thank you from my heart and soul to friend Vicky Nelson, and niece Lisa Newberger for organizing and presenting such a perfect party with all the decorations and detail to all the extra “80” birthday special additions making it such a memorable event.
