Saturday, Jan. 28, at 8:23 p.m., the Meeker County Sheriff?Äôs Office received a report of a personal injury accident at the intersection of 190th Street and 610th Avenue in Greenleaf Township. The Sheriff?Äôs Office, Litchfield Fire Department, Litchfield Rescue, Gold Cross Ambulance and Life Link responded to the scene. The driver was identified as Jeffrey Conklin, age 32, of rural Hutchinson. Conklin received life-threatening injuries and was flown to HCMC by Life link. The initial investigation revealed Conklin was westbound on 610th Avenue, when he failed to stop for the ?ÄúT?Äù intersection at 190th Street. Conklin drove straight off the road and crashed into a grove of trees. The crash is currently under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriff?Äôs Office.
