Phyllis Thompson of South Haven died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball with Rev. Dave Milz officiating. Burial followed in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Fair Haven. Friends called from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball and one hour prior to services at the church. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Phyllis Ann Thompson was born April 12, 1932, at Dodge Center to Raymond and Ella (Franklin) Feeder. She married Dwain A. Thompson Dec. 14, 1951, in Kimball; he preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1988. She lived most of her lifetime in the Fair Haven area where she was a homemaker and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball. She enjoyed her grandchildren, flower garden, and for the past 10 years being a foster grandparent at Bendix Elementary School in Annandale. Thompson was preceded in  death by her husband Dwain. She is survived by her two children Scott (and Judy) Thompson of South Haven, and Stacy Fudali of Blaine; five grandchildren: Heidi (and John) Achartz of Duluth, Bryan Thompson of St. Cloud, Chris Fudali of Fair Haven, Brandon and Danielle Fudali of Blaine; and two great-grandchildren Calib and Daphne Achartz. Pallbearers were Mike and Dan DeWitte, Bill and Tom Neumann, Richard Maurer and Walter Looman.   Honorary pallbearers were Phyllis’ grandchildren.
