A total of 16 Powder Ridge racers earned top five finishes at Buck Hill in the first of a four-race series for 2010. First place finishes were turned in by Abby Swanson (Girls age 7), Suzanne Schneider (Girls age 9), Nathan Hilbert (Boys age 9), Nicole Bloch (Girls age 12) and Ben Minkel (Boys age 14). Third places went to Charlie Stuck (Boys age 10), Logan Erickson (Boys age 12) and Eric Schneider (Boys age 13). In fourth were Shelby Zoller (Girls age 7), Kelly Zelko (Girls age 14) and Nick Held (Boys age 14). Fifth places were earned by Brooke Swanson (Girls age 6), Rachael Boesen (Girls age 7), Kaia Greely (Girls age 10), Nolan Miller (Boys age 10) and Lexie Deal (Girls age 14). Powder Ridge entered 40 racers who combined for 43 team points compared to first place Mt. Kato (126) with 74 racers, Buck Hill (78) with 50 racers and Trollhaugen (50) with 50 racers. The Powder Ridge Team will travel next to Wild Mt. for their next race that includes powerhouse teams from Afton Alps and host team Wild Mt. Saturday, Jan. 23, and then host Welch Village and Mt. Kato at Powder Ridge Saturday, Feb. 6.
