Reiko I. Johnson died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at her home in Kimball. She was 78. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis with Chaplain Kenneth Beale officiating. Friends called a half hour prior to services. Interment followed in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Reiko was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Sendai, Japan. She married Eldo D. Johnson April 11, 1955, in Japan; he preceded her in death June 2, 2001. Reiko was a production worker for Graco, Inc., in Minneapolis for many years. She retired in 1990. She has lived in Kimball for the past year and a half, and previously lived in Brooklyn Center. Reiko was preceded in death by her husband Eldo and an infant son. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Johnson (and her husband Tim Talbot) of Kimball; granddaughter Johnna Johnson-Talbot of Kimball; and brother Tadashi Itohara of Fukushima, Japan. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
