A special weekend retreat for divorced and separated Christians will be held at Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo Aug. 20-22. The theme of the retreat is “Seasons of Love,” and will be presented by Father Jim Heneghan. The retreat is open to men and women of all faiths. When we face a separation or divorce, the seasons of our lives become intimately connected with this profound loss. This weekend retreat is an opportunity to ponder the end of our marriage through the transformations that creation provides in each different season. As people of faith, we will contemplate how nature invites us to see our human experience reflected in the creative process of God. Fr. Jim Heneghan is a former national chaplain of the North American Conference of separated and divorced Catholics. He frequently ministers with support groups and individuals in the Chicago area.
