Return excess tax dollars to taxpayers

·

In 2022 when Minnesota candidates were running for office, almost all Democrats and all Republicans said they would give back excess dollars to the taxpayers.

In 2023, the Democrats and agencies headed by Walz’s appointees are proposing to raise fees on cars, fishing, boat registrations, and state parks, and to lower taxes and eliminate tax for Social Security (SS) for l-ow–income citizens and non-taxpayers. What happened to giving the money back to the taxpayers so we can grow the economy of Minnesota?

In 2022, with bipartisan support and the governor’s support, the Minnesota Senate passed bills to eliminate the tax on SS and lower everyone’s Minnesota taxes, but the -Democrat-controlled House refused to take up the bills. We have lost 20,000 tax-paying Minnesotans to other states, taking their tax revenue with them. Our governor keeps saying we are lowering the number of unemployed and creating more jobs, but there are fewer people employed in Minnesota than before COVID. Let’s make the Democrats tell the whole truth, not their slanted facts.
