Richard Golembeck of Annandale died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was 79. 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow at Corinna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the church, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
Richard Arno Golembeck was born Nov. 25, 1937, to Arno and Lorraine (Bartosiewski) Golembeck in St. Cloud. He was baptized Dec. 12, 1937, at his home in St. Cloud, and confirmed in his faith June 22, 1952, in Eau Claire, Wis. Richard graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1956, and then attended the University of Minnesota. Richard was united in marriage to Beverly Elfmann June 28, 1958, at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. Together they lived in the Twin Cities before returning to Annandale in 1969. Richard worked for Honeywell for 22 years as a tool and die maker; he also farmed. He retired from Hutchinson Technology in 1999, and drove truck for a time. Richard and Beverly also owned and operated Country Café in Annandale. Richard was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee and financial treasurer. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting, and camping. He liked to play cards, and appreciated watching or reading a good Western.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Milo Karie, and foster grandson David Harcey.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Beverly Golembeck of Annandale; children Diane (and Dan) Powers of Barrett, JoAnn (and Kirk) Jacoby of Elbow Lake, Suzanne (and Mike) Koep of Fergus Falls, Cindy (and Ron) Maas of Waconia, and Patty (and Mike) Leinonen of Annandale; nine grandchildren: Tammy, Laura, Matthew, Nicholas, Michelle, Katie, Jennifer, Ryan, and Lisa; five great-grandchildren: Morgan, Brandon, Kirk, Ainsley, and Emma; as well as other family members and friends.
Matthew Jacoby, Nicholas Jacoby, Aaron Froemming, Ryan Maas, Jared Langley, and Terry Taylor will serve as pallbearers, and Matt Goede, Dustin Nicka, Kirby Nicka, Jeremy Schmidt, and Shaun Schmidt will serve as honorary pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
