The Lady Stars opened the new season at Richmond Arena last Tuesday, Nov. 13, with a 13-0 throttling of Morris Area/Benson Area. Thirteen different River Lakes skaters had either an assist or a goal, and shots on goal favored the Stars, 13-0. River Lakes sophomore forward Brooke Lemke led the onslaught with five points (two goals and three assists). Sophomore forward Aubrey Griffin picked up a hat trick, and senior goalie Nicole Wander and sophomore net-minder Hailey Kramer made sure the Stars’ goal stayed unblemished.
